Held August 2, 2022 at CAVS on the Mississippi State University Campus

Sponsored by: Jones College and the Mississippi State University Data Science Program

Event Photo: Don Zant Explains the Role of Data Science in Higher Education Financial Management

The use of data has become one of the most important competencies for organizational success. Successful organizations need a workforce with the expertise to acquire, process, store, and use data to gain insight and build smart systems. This need provides Mississippi’s workforce development and education system with a clear responsibility: prepare a workforce ready for digital transformation. This free one-day seminar, our first annual Back-to-School Data Science Seminar, focuses on the important role played by colleges and universities in building a data science literate workforce that will help Mississippi remain productive and competitive.
